The Seminarian is a feature-length movie about a closeted gay seminarian whose struggle in a troubled relationship leads him to question everything he had known about God and love.
Joshua Lim was born in Malaysia and raised in Singapore. He moved to Los Angeles to study filmmaking in the University of Southern California in 2001. He then produced his first feature in 2008, entitled The Olive Depression: A film about the weeks before a teenage boy enters mandatory military service in Singapore. He then pursued a Masters in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary and produced The Seminarian in 2010.
Mark Cirillo was born and raised just outside Hartford, in Connecticut's first town, Windsor. Mark moved to Los Angeles to pursue a double major at Loyola Marymount University in Theater Arts and Film Production. He has since appeared on television in shows like Will & Grace, How I Met Your Mother and Quintuplets. Mark has been in several films including American Beauty and Girls Will Be Girls. Besides The Seminarian, he will also be seen in the upcoming Plato's Symposium and Looking In.
